What is it that you Audit?
I audit office processes, computer software capability/efficiency, staff capability/efficiency, provider documentation, EMR/EHR templates,
Claims, EOB's, trends.
Do you Audit outside of Phoenix? Yes, throughout Arizona with all
Audits scheduled a monthin advance.
Do you Audit outside
of Arizona? Yes, dependent upon weather and travel with all Audits scheduled a month to 90-days in advance. Out-of-State Audits on On-Site for 3-5 days audit time.
Do you Audit for
All Specialties? No, as there is so much specialty information to digest my Audit specialties are OB/GYN, Neurology, Family Practice/General Practice/Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and Chiropractic.
Do you Provide Education for Physicians and their Staff? Yes, at
the completion of an Audit there is a two hour block of time that
allows feedback to the provider and their staff. Additional Education
related to documentation processes, EMR/EHR corrective programming, and provider or
staff coding is scheduled separate to the initial Audit.
Do you Provide Education for Insurance Carrier Employees? Yes, we
are in an ever changing environment where all those involved need
continued education relative to coding/billing and provider reimbursement
processes. Many insurance carrier employees have no insight on how
a provider practice functions or the provider service evaluation process prior to a claim submission.
What Kinds of Changes do you Suggest? I find inefficiencies in the
area of provider documentation or EMR/EHR development and calculation,
where I typically suggest solutions to the challenge of underpayment or
non-payment by insurance carriers. I find inefficiencies in the internal process of "payment posting", with
far too many incorrect insurance carrier payments being calculated inaccurately.
Too many providers loose revenue to incorrect contract adjustment calculations
and copayment errors by insurance carriers.
What Percentage of Increased Revenue Can a Physician Expect After your Audit? Any
increase in Revenue should be considered well worth the cost of
the Audit. Most of my clients average anywhere from 25%-60% increase over the period of 12 months after their Audit. Many report a higher increase, depending upon
their new understanding of their insurance contract language relative
to coding and non-global patient care.
